The Department of Conversation is not responsible for anything, and particularly NOT any sort of grown-up, important stuff, with big long words and even bigger salaries and budgets. What we do, in reality, is a little bit more nuanced (that generally means is a little cloudy and definitely harder to pin down), completely lacking in aims or KPIs (they're ummm, a bit like goals) and the specifics of what we do, how we do it and when and where is all a bit pie in the sky. But we like pies in the skies.... Some poeple might be offended by the content on this site. We're still pondering an appropriate response to that. It may well look something like .... Well that's okay if you disagree with our opinions. We can't force you to be right. Or, alternately, stop reading the nonsense on here and go away and get offended by something more important.
Well,... not too much actually. Maybe a fair few tongue-in-cheek statements, occasional unrestrained chortles of laughter, even quite a few gasps of shock, horror and dismay and lots of self deprecating humour. But, be warned campers, that not everything is as it seems. There is nothing wrong with taking a poke at the system, or at ourselves. This is not seditious, treasonous, racist, separatist, elitist, racist, sexist, homophobic, ageist, or even harassment of any type. It is simply good old-fashioned fun. Take the Michael, have a laugh, everyone goes home with an ice-cream, un-offended.
We do not condone or permit any of that negative stuff that might offend people, and we don't really care what you think about what we think ....about anything. If you're still reading,..... you obviously don't either,.. or you're gathering evidence for someone that gives a rat's.
