Who's taking the mickey here?

Is this just a government steal? Is this a way to give Maori a gazillion dollars worth of assets so that they can charge users a fee? Is this something else? A lead in to yet another privatisation sell-off that has net-zero benefit to consumers and big value to the international corporates that end up owning at least 49% of our assets?

But our three waters — our drinking water, wastewater and stormwater networks — are facing a crisis. Uhhhh, Ok!

Fixing our water systems so they're safe for the future will cost too much for councils alone. So give them the money to do it?

The Government will create four publicly owned water entities for the benefit of all New Zealanders. Hmmm

These new entities will deliver better health and wellbeing outcomes for our communities and protect our environment for generations to come. That's a big statement
