Water Myths Make Really Good Reading

A Myth is a female moth

The topic is so emotive, volatile and of direct consequence to all of us that we all have an opinion and we are all impacted by the dis-information, misinformation and missing information.

Hers some untruths and truths as we can figure them out.

Disinformation

If you collect rainwater, you will have to register your water tanks.......... ......................................................................

You will have to test your water daily and report results. ..... .............................................

They can take your water if they want it.

You'll have to pay a registration fee for every tank and for testing the water,.... ...

This is just creating a whole new bloated bureaucracy, as well as jobs for mates- the old boys network

The government is stealing our assets that us ratepayers payed for

Reality Check

Nope. If you are a water supplier (to more than one household) you will need to register your water tanks.

Well, you are supplying more than one Household. Have you removed the dead possum from your tank yet?

Interesting. We cant find any reference to that anywhere.

No mention of that anywhere, but,... cost-recovery is a highly likely outcome of mandatory registration and all governments love taxing folks if they're getting something for nothing.

"Councils and mana whenua would appoint a Regional Representative Group. This group would appoint an Independent Selection Panel, which would appoint the Entity Board." YEP,... THAT is Bloating RIGHT THERE!

Well, theyre not taking the assets physically. But they are transferring ownership / control of them to an entity that has only minimal community input in it. So, Yes. Thats theft
